These terms govern your use of rateperch.com (“RatePerch,” “we”). Using the site means you accept them.
What RatePerch is (and isn’t)
RatePerch is a public dataset of mortgage-rate information: offers contributed by real borrowers and rates published by lenders, presented for comparison and education. It is not financial, legal, or tax advice, and we are not a lender, broker, or loan originator. Rates shown may not be available to you; your actual quote depends on your full financial profile and the lender’s current pricing. Verify any rate directly with the lender before making decisions.
Your submissions
- Submit only offers you actually received. Fabricated submissions poison a public dataset and are removed.
- By submitting, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to publish and analyze the offer details (never your identity) as part of the dataset.
- We review submissions and may reject, edit for format, or remove any at our discretion — outlier screening and community flagging are described on the methodology page.
Acceptable use
- No scraping at volumes that degrade the service; no reselling the dataset without written permission.
- No attempting to identify individual contributors from published data.
- No abusing forms, uploads, or email signups (rate limits and bot checks are enforced).
Accuracy and liability
We work hard to keep data fresh — stale rates are hidden rather than shown — but all content is provided “as is,” without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RatePerch is not liable for decisions made in reliance on the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Housekeeping
We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Contact: hello@rateperch.com.
